Rising Young Stars: Jennifer and Dora Yu’s Musical Journey

Jennifer and Dora Yu are two exceptionally talented young musicians whose passion for music shines through every note they play. Jennifer, a 10-year-old violinist, and Dora, a 14-year-old violist, have dedicated themselves to their craft from a young age, mastering their instruments under the guidance of esteemed mentors.

Their impressive achievements, including accolades from prestigious competitions and masterclass experiences with world-renowned musicians, reflect their unwavering commitment to musical excellence.

Meet Jennifer and Dora Yu

Jennifer Yu, a passionate 10-year-old violinist, has been immersed in music from a young age. She began playing the violin at six and the piano at five. Throughout her musical journey, Jennifer has had the privilege of studying in masterclasses with renowned violinists such as Ernest Salem, Sam Fisher, and Fung Ho. Her dedication and talent have earned her several awards, including the Music Teachers Association of California, the Amici Music Competition, and the Concordia Music Competition. Known for her enthusiasm and commitment, Jennifer aspires to continue her incredible adventures in music and beyond. She is currently studying under the guidance of Leslie Ho.

Dora Yu, a 14-year-old violist with a deep passion for music and energetic musicality, aspires to spread God’s love through her playing. She began her viola studies at eight and piano at five. Dora has been privileged to study masterclasses with renowned violists such as Yi-Fang Huang, Molly Carr, and Carol Rodland. She has earned multiple accolades, including exceptional recognition from the American String Teachers’ Association, the Music Teachers Association of California, the Amici Music Competition, the Southern California Junior Bach Festival, and the Concordia Competition. Guided by her zeal, talent, and dedication, Dora is committed to growing as a musician and inspiring others through her music. She is currently studying under the tutelage of Leslie Ho and Gina Coletti.
